Know Him? Police Seek To ID Suspect In Strong-Arm Robbery

Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a woman at the transit hub.

The incident took place around 6:11 p.m., Thursday, June 6, when City of Poughkeepsie officers responded to the area of the transit hub for a reported strong-arm robbery, said the City of Poughkeepsie Police.

The victim reported that a man had followed her into the transit hub and then ripped her purse containing $700 from her shoulder and then he fled east towards Garden Street, police said.

"Up to this point, the department’s attempts to identify the suspect have proven unsuccessful, we are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying him," said Det. Lt. MJ Clark.
